EN EL LABERINTO
IN THE LABYRINTH (From lat. labyrinths)
1. m. Place artificially formed by streets and crossroads, to confuse whoever enters it, so that they cannot hit the exit.
2. m. Confused and tangled thing.
3. m. Poetic composition made in such a way that the verses can be read forwards and backwards and in other ways without ceasing to form cadence and meaning.
IN THE LABYRINTH is a series of symbolic images that reinterpret the legend of the Minotaur of Gnossos.
We inhabit our own labyrinths (cities, spaces, holes) as an initiation path in the search for the center that is actually the self.
The fear of Theseus who is looking for the Minotaur to kill him. It is our minotaur, it is the anguish of not knowing what to choose, of being trapped in our spider webs, not knowing what to do, conditioned by the past.
The Minotaur of the confusion of who we are, where we come from and where we are going.
He kills him with a double-edged ax Labris and uses a spindle that is the ball whose thread will allow him to walk the way back. Weapons that are inner imperfection, the need to unfold, to challenge oneself, to pick up the fine rope of evolution, of metamorphosis.
The hero who penetrates to the depths of his own labyrinths, who kills his monsters and who finds his soul.
